Why we use DI water
DI water for
a spot free finish.
Regular tap water can leave mineral spots as it dries. We use deionized (DI) water for the final rinse to keep those spots off your paint and glass. When you care about how your vehicle looks, the water we use matters too.
What that means for your vehicle
No mineral residue from the rinse
DI water has the dissolved minerals removed, so they don’t dry onto your vehicle.
A difference you can see
Water spots are especially easy to notice on dark paint, windows, and shiny trim. Using DI water helps keep those surfaces clear.
For coated vehicles too
We use DI water when rinsing ceramic coated vehicles. A coating doesn’t stop ordinary tap water from leaving mineral deposits.
DI water prevents new spots from the rinse. It won’t remove water spots that are already etched into the surface.
